At Sureguard Window Films® we are committed to the highest possible quality and safety and want you to know you can trust our services, which is why we’re letting you know we’ve recently renewed our CHAS accreditation.
Sureguard Window Films® was established in 1983, and for over 40 years we have achieved the highest quality services, using only top-of-the-range materials and putting our unrivalled experience into practice on each job.
Achieving various accreditations allows us as a company to have a certification to represent this high level of service that our existing customers know we provide.
An accreditation is the process of recognising that a person or company has reached a particular standard of service or workmanship, which has been certified by a third party.
At Sureguard Window Films® we’re proud to have been accredited by a number of organisations, and most recently to have renewed our CHAS accreditation.
What is CHAS accreditation?
CHAS is short for the Contractors’ Health and Safety Assessment Scheme.
It’s the foremost authority on UK compliance, risk mitigation and supply chain management.
A company can only achieve CHAS accreditation if they can demonstrate that they adhere to all current health and safety practices, ensuring both the safety of the buildings we work on and our staff.
At Sureguard Window Films® we have been CHAS accredited since 8th August 2003, so for over two decades now we have had our solid reputation safeguarded by this accreditation.
What did we have to do to achieve CHAS accreditation?
The process of achieving CHAS accreditation is comprehensive and rightly so.
To be a meaningful accreditation, it is imperative that only those who meet the rigorous standards required are awarded it.
The assessment process for receiving CHAS accreditation involved submitting evidence such as our health and safety policies, risk assessments, records of on-site health and safety inspections, insurance documents, records of equipment maintenance and proof of staff training.
An assessor then reviewed our application, and having taken all of this into account they then approved us to receive our CHAS accreditation.
It’s certainly not a simple process but we believe it’s completely worth the effort involved so that we can demonstrate to our clients that we are committed to the highest possible quality of product and service.
CHAS accreditation is just one of the many certifications we’re proud to have been awarded at Sureguard Window Films®.

Who are we accredited by?
Alongside our CHAS accreditation, we are proud to be accredited by the following organisations.
Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), also known as GQA
CSCS is the leading certification scheme for skills within the UK construction industry.
Most Installers carry a CSCS card. You can ask to see this as proof that they have the required training and qualifications to complete the task at hand.
The usage of the GQA cards across the country plays a major role in improving the standards and safety on UK construction sites by ensuring the workforce are appropriately qualified for the tasks they are to complete.
The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF)
The GGF is the primary representative organisation for companies involved in all things surrounding the manufacture of flat glass, products and services for all types of glazing.
The GGF regulate our industry, and Sureguard Window Films® have had involvement with them for many years.
In fact, our current Sales Director is Vice Chair and our previous MD was chair of the Window Film Group for 8 years. The GGF lobbies the Government and assists with writing and the implementation of legislative papers used today. For example Regulation 14 of the Workplace Health Safety & Welfare regulations 1992.
Our membership of the Glass and Glazing Foundation recognises that we install our products in line with the latest building regulations and to a high standard of energy efficiency.
SafeContractor
SafeContractor is another accreditation which demonstrates our commitment to meeting health and safety standards.
We have held this accreditation since September 2018, when a specific contract required that we were accredited by SafeContractor alongside all our other accreditations.
This accreditation shows our commitment to safe and ethical practices both in the supply chain and on site.
ConstructionLine – Gold Member
Sureguard Window Films® is a Gold Member of Constructionline, meaning that we are part of a validated pool of the highest-quality contractors in this already select group of construction suppliers.
ConstructionLine is a Government run scheme which collects, assesses and monitors companies’ information to curate a database of pre-qualified trusted businesses.
We are proud to have been part of this, the UK’s leading procurement and supply chain management service, since 1990.
NQA ISO 9001: 2015 certificate
ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems.
This is a trusted certification used across the world to mark quality control.
It provides the basis for processes and people to deliver effective and consistent products and services.
Sureguard Window Films® was one of the first Window Film companies to become Quality Assured when we achieved BS5750 in 1992.
Why are accreditations so important to us at Sureguard Window Films®?
