Clear UV Window Film Case Study​

Summary

We, Sureguard Window Films® were approached to supply & install Clear UV Window Film to existing  glazing throughout the leisure centre to protect a young person that has a skin intolerance  

“Photosensitivity” is an extreme sensitivity to ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun and other  light sources. Most people are at risk of developing sunburn during long exposure to sunlight.  Exposure to UV rays can also lead to skin damage and skin cancer.

Installation

On completion for our installation, we visited site to prove functionality. Therefore,  confirming the effectiveness of Clear UV Window Film installed & confirming the creation of a safe  environment for people with skin sensitivities, such as Photosensitivity.

 

 

Prerequisite

Outcome(s):

  • Discourse and Barring Service (DBS) Checks (previously CRB Checks) for all Installers that would be working on site.
  • Risk Assessment & Method Statement (RAMS) to confirm with site & our survey. ∙ Bespoke glazing stickers, as requested by site, to confirm / indicate which windows we had installed Clear UV Window Film on.
