for advice & recommendations to reduce heat & glare, while minimising the reduction of natural light.

January 2022 – Sureguard Window Films® arranged a visit to survey & discuss options to assess the specification of the existing glass in order check Window Film to glass compatibility; in order to offer the best most suitable Window Film. Outcome – Quote raised for the supply & installation of External 3M Prestige PR 70 Window Film. 3M Prestige PR 70 is a spectrally selective multilayer nano-technology Window Film with a uniquely high visual light transmission that has exceptionally high heat rejection capabilities & therefore reduces heating & cooling costs.
Feburary 2022 – Sureguard Window Films® received the written instruction & deposit to proceed with the supply & installation of External 3M Prestige PR 70 Window Film. As this is an external Window Film, we waited for a period of good weather, that allowed for this installation – external Window Film cannot be installed during a) cold temperatures, b) wind & c) rain. This is because Window Films installed using water & require optimum temperatures to ‘cure’ (dry out). We also factored in the vegetation – a tree close to the area of the windows that were to be treated with Window Film, that was in bloom & giving off fine particles that would contaminate the installation.
June 2022 – Installation of External 3M Prestige PR 70 Window Film was carried out & completed.
Received via customer feedback questionnaire, issued along with invoice, on completion – “From start to finish Sureguard were an excellent company to deal with! Emails were responded to promptly and professionally keeping us up to date with progress.
The installers themselves were courteous and arrived on time. They worked quickly and were extremely tidy Would definitely recommend Sureguard as their window films have made a significant difference to our home.”
From this, the Customer then sent an email –
“We are so pleased with the window films fitted to our windows that we are thinking seriously about having it fitted to our huge roof light. It obviously would be an internal installation as the outside of the glass is self cleaning.
Its also a considerable height from ceiling to floor.
Could we make an appointment please for an engineer to come and take a look?”
For which, a visit was arranged & a quote was raised for options of
a) internal 3M PR 70.
b) internal Ultra PR S70 – Ultra Prestige S70, which is a Solar Safety Window Film combined.
c) To hire, erect & dismantle suitable access equipment, in order to facilitate application in line with current Health & Safety legislation.
d) If required, to supply & install Edge Retention to anchor all 4 edge margins of all glass previously treated as detailed in option b).
Options b), c) & d) were ordered & installed in August 2022, liaising, to coordinate with site & the hire company for the delivery of the access equipment & customer requests to protect their newly refurbished & beautiful home.
