Sureguard Window Films® is a trading name of Sureguard Energy Services Limited.

Sureguard Window Films® was established in 1983 by John Michael Hannon who at the time was working for the original manufacturer of window films, 3M. John was responsible for establishing a franchised dealer network across the UK for 3M which he then managed for over 8 years. During that time he was involved in expanding the market and providing technical assistance to the dealer network. As the market developed and expanded he realised there was a need for a high quality installation company as some of the dealers quality control was poor and rather than trying to improve their performance he set up his own business.

Shortly after Sureguard Window Films® was established, John’s son John Robert Hannon, joined the business taking over as MD in 2001. In 1995 Rob was elected as the Chairman of the Window Film Group of the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) , a national Federation. He occupied the position for 8 years standing down in 2003. During his tenure he helped develop a closer relationship between the installation companies, the manufacturers, the product development technicians and the testing houses with the result of better performing, higher quality materials. He also spent much of his time on the GGF’s Standards Committee which led the European Standards Committee for glass, as well as being influential on the ISO committee. This involved Rob lobbying Government at Ministerial level and he led several lobby lunches with MP’s on glass safety and bomb blast protection.

Rob left the role of Chair of the GGF to take up a position of Vice President of Rotherham Chamber of Commerce (RCC) which was a 2 year appointment. Rob became President of The Chamber in October 2006 and served his 2 year tenure, however he was asked to serve an extra year as President following the successful merger of Barnsley & Rotherham Chambers.

Aimee Holmes joined Sureguard Window Films® in 2000 at a Junior Administration Level. She soon showed great potential and worked up through the company taking a more active role in sales by 2006. In January 2009 she became the Sales Manager and was appointed Sales Director in 2010.

In 2008 Emilie Holmes (Aimee’s twin sister) joined Sureguard Window Films® as Office Manager. Emilie previously worked for DWP and had a vast knowledge of implementing, monitoring and maintaining procedures. Emilie also brought with her, experience of managing staff and customer service skills.

In January 2011 Aimee and Emilie bought controlling shares in Sureguard Window Films® and now run the company with John Robert Hannon.
