    What is window film?
    Window Film is a laminated polyester material that can be applied to new or existing glass in your home, office, school or factory. Window Films are designed to reduce heat, reduce glare, add privacy, provide extra safety, security and to decorate glass.

    How long have Sureguard been established?
    Sureguard have been successfully supplying and installing window film to the commercial and DIY market since 1983.

    How quickly do I get a quotation?
    We are usually able to give you a quotation the same day. If you know the approximate sizes of your windows we can often give you a price over the phone. We will confirm the cost in writing.

    Will I need a site survey?
    We may need to do a survey of the windows to correctly calculate the amount and type of film required. In the case of regulations 14 we will definitely need to do a site survey to identify glass that falls within 'critical locations'.

    What type of window film will I need?
    The type of window film required will depend on what issues you are trying to resolve. By speaking to one of our account managers they will be able to advise and guide you in your choices.

    Can window film go on any type of glass?
    Not all window films can go onto all types of glass. Again your account manager will be able to advise on suitable films for glass compatibility.

    Does window film go on the inside or outside of the glass?
    Normally we would recommend that films be fitted internally if possible. However you can request or it will be advised that external window film can be used.

    I want a logo, what format do Sureguard need the artwork in?
    Ideally we need any corporate logos, patterns and designs as a vector file. Ideally .AI or .EPS format. If we are printing a photo onto window film for you a .jpeg would be fine but it does need to be in the highest possible resolution

    How long will it take to get the work done?
    Once you confirm your order the work schedule manager will arrange a date with you for the work to be carried out, usually within 14 days depending on the size and number of windows and accessibility to glass.

    How is window film installed?
    Window Film is installed onto the glass using soapy water and a squeegee after the glass is thoroughly cleaned.

    How long will window film last?
    Our internally fitted window films come with a 10 year warranty and will last well in excess of that.

    Is it possible to remove window film?
    Yes, window film can be removed from your glass, but it cannot be reused. If you already have window film on your windows and you want a strip and replace service, please mention this to your account manager. If you just want some old film removed, we can also do this for you, or give you instructions on the best removal method.
