Building Regulations
Building Regulations call
for all new build and refurbishment projects to
ensure that glass within the areas involved meet
minimum safety impact standard..
Although similar to the requirements
of Regulation 14 of the Workplace (Health, Safety
& Welfare) Regulations 1992, Document N1 is
not retrospective and applies only when glass is
being installed or renewed.
However many people are finding
that before a project can be signed off as complete
Building Inspectors are highlighting these regulations.
Obviously the cost and inconvenience in having to
replace the glass that has just been installed can
dramatically alter project costs.
Sureguard Safety Film can be applied
to he glass in question in order to bring it up
to the correct standard and allow the project to
be completed at minimum cost and disruption levels.
